The balance is to be paid directly to the supplier on arrival.

Driver must have been licenced to drive for at least one year. At time of rent a valid original driver licence must be provided from the country of origin. A photocopy will not be accepted. If the drivers licence is not in roman script, an international drivers licence must be presented in addition.
All International renters require a valid drivers licence, a valid passport, a major credit card, a local address and one telephone number.
The following credit cards are accepted at time of rent: American Express Credit Card (AMX), Diners Club Credit Card (DCL), Discover Credit Card (DIS), Euro / Mastercard (EUR) and Visa Credit Card (VIS). Prepaid credit cards as well as debit cards (e.g. Visa Electron etc.) are not accepted as method of payment.
GENERAL INSURANCE CONDITIONS
Basic Insurance includes unlimited coverage on bodily injury to persons other than the driver and on property damage to anything other than the rented vehicle.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER, THEFT PROTECTION AND NON-WAIVABLE EXCESS
The Collision Damage Waiver is a service which reduces the customers financial liability for damage to the rented vehicle, except for theft, attempted theft or vandalism or if the provided vehicle is not used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
Theft Protection is an optional service which reduces the customers financial liability for loss of, or damage to the rented vehicle due to theft and attempted theft or vandalism (incl. parts and accessories)
This is not an insurance, it only reduces the customers responsibility.

SUPER-COLLISION-DAMAGE WAIVER CDW (SCDW)
A Super-Collision-Damage Waiver is available. Check at time of rent.
The Super-Collision-Damage Waiver is a supplement to the Collision Damage Waiver & Theft Protection and relieves the customer from any responsibility in case of loss or damage to the rented vehicle due to collision, theft, attempted theft or vandalism.
Should the Super-Collision-Damage Waiver be accepted at time of rent, the Non-Waivable Excess will be reduced to CHF 0.-, Maximum charge is 14 days per rental.
The Super-Collision- Damage Waiver does not cover gross negligence, broken or lost keys, contamination of fuel, damages to the roof or underbody of the car and if the vehicle is not used in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the Rental Agreement.
Assistance abroad is an optional service which covers a breakdown assistance outside the renting country. Should assistance abroad be accepted at time of rent, the customer will receive a full breakdown service e.g. car exchange, towing, on-site assistance etc.
Assistance Abroad service does not relief the customer from the accepted Non-Waivable Excess (NWE) in case of a damage at time of rent.

Should the assistance abroad not be accepted at time of rent a handling fee will be charged in case of any kind of breakdown or assistance the customer needs outside the renting country.

Customers receive the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. In case a customer does not return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, the renting location will refuel the vehicle at the price specified on the signed rental agreement.

Penalty fee for not returning the ski rack CHF 100.00.
Fees apply if there is one or more additional drivers . The maximum number of additional drivers is the number of passengers allowed in the vehicle. It is the renters responsibility that the additional driver meets all the rental requirements, i.e. min age and drivers licence. If the charge is declined at the beginning of the rental, there is no insurance coverage for any damages caused by the additional driver. Additional driver fee CHF 13.90 per day / CHF 97.30 per week / max. CHF 139.00 per rental.
AGE RESTRICTION & YOUNG DRIVER (19-24) SURCHARGE
Minimum age is 19 years for all car groups reserved. A supplementary charge for drivers between the age of 19 - 24 years will apply. CHF13.90 per day / max. CHF139.00 per rental.
UPSELL OF CAR GROUPS POSSIBLE
Check for availability at time of pick up. Inquire about minimum age and driving restrictions as well as
NWE, as they vary according to the car group driven. For prestige cars an additional deposit of CHF 6’000.00 will be blocked on the renters credit card.
DELIVERY & COLLECTION / OUT OF HOURS PICK & DROP OFF
Delivery and Collection services may be available on request. Please make sure to ask the counter personnel for the possibilities and the different fees.

For Airports: Monday - Saturday, possible if pick up time is 2 hours before or after the displayed operational hours with 24 hours advanced notice. Flight details must be provided for all instances as well as a valid credit card. Out of hours charge CHF 50.00. On Sundays CHF 75.00. For Downtown locations: possible if pick up time is 1 hour before or after locations operational hours with 24 hours advance notice and received within a weekday of operation. Details of arrival (flight or train) must be supplied as well as a valid credit card. Out of hours charge Monday - Saturday CHF 50.00, Sundays CHF 75.00.
OUT OF HOURS RETURN CHARGE (EFFECTIVE DATE: JULY 15TH, 2016)
Should a client return the rented vehicle outside the opening hours of the renting or return location an additional out of hours charge of CHF 30.00 will apply.

We reserve the right to charge an additional amount of minimum CHF150.00 up to CHF500.00 in case the rented vehicle is returned in an unusually dirty condition.
CURRENCY CONVERSION CHARGE
We may arrange for the renters rental charges to be converted by our processing bank from the currency of the country where the rental is taking place into the currency of which the renters credit card is issued. The bank will use a commercial daily rate of exchange provided by a reputable foreign exchange dealer for the day. The bank will apply a competitive currency conversion fee for making the conversion. This fee will replace the currency conversion administration charge usually made by the credit card issuer. By signing the declaration on the Rental Record, the renter agrees that Hertz may arrange the conversion and that the renter agrees to the payment of the administration fee. If the renter does not agree, the renter may choose to have the conversion made by the renters credit card issuer.
ONE WAY RENTALS
Domestic one way rentals are permitted only between the different DTG Swiss locations. A fee of CHF 80.00 will apply. International one way rentals are not permitted. Should a vehicle be returned outside of Switzerland an additional penalty fee will apply.
CROSS BORDER POLICY AND TERRITORIAL RESTRICTIONS
Customers may not drive into the following countries with all car groups: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Iceland, Israel, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro, Tunisia and Turkey, *C.I.S. and ** Middle East Countries.
*Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan
** Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Iran and Irak
For all other countries cross border rentals are allowed, restrictions may apply depending on the vehicle rented. All vehicles are equipped with a Swiss highway sticker at no extra charge.
People with a registered residence in the European Union are not allowed to take a Swiss rental car from Switzerland to a neighbouring country (exception: returning to their home address on a direct way).
This applies to residents from the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Rumania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
You are liable for any penalties and associated charges by the supplier (including potential void of contract) if this rule is broken.

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.
If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
