1) Rental rates and Rental Extension / Excess Hours
Prices are subject to change without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as an increase in transport and maintenance costs, tax, etc.
Should the Hirer intend to extend the rental beyond the original confirmed date, the Hirer must inform KLezCar for further action.
2) Non-smoking Vehicle
Hirer and all passengers shall not smoke while using vehicles rented from KLezCar/Owner. A sum of RM200 shall apply to remove the cigarettes odors and disinfect the interior of the vehicles.
3) Driving License - Minimum and Maximum Age
The Hirer must be in possession of a valid driving license held for at least two (2) years. An international driving license is preferred for non-Malaysian citizen.
4) Damage and Other Charges
The Hirer accepts responsibility to repair and change to new original parts at current market price plus labor on items that are damaged, lost or stolen during the period of Hire. As such, the hirer's deposit shall be forfeited. The possibility of such incident would be as follows:-
scratches on car body which have to be re-painted
minor or major damage on all front & rear lamps
broken / smashed windshield, window glass & wipers
car seats damage (eg. Cigarettes burn marks, stains, etc.)
fender & bumper bend or fall out
any missing & damaged items relating to the car
The hirer must ensure the vehicle's water temperature remains at a normal level. Should the hirer encounter water heating or temperature rise, stop the car immediately in a safe area and contact our response team. For any long distance drive, the hirer must regularly check the water level and add in water if needed and engine oil for the rented vehicle.
In case of major damage to the vehicle that require KLezCar/owner to claim compensation from their insurance company, the hirer will be liable to pay the excess fees and no replacement vehicle will be provided. The hirer's deposit shall be forfeited.
5) Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)
Collision Damage Waiver is provided to the Hirer to reduce the excess liability to a minimal fee. For example, should the Hirer intentionally or unintentionally cause damage to their vehicle, the hirer will only be liable for the excess detailed below:-
Below 2000cc: Excess Liability RM3,000 or RM1,000 per accident with CDW
At 2000cc: Excess Liability RM5,000 or RM2,000 per accident with CDW
Above 2000cc: Excess Liability RM6,000 or RM3,000 per accident with CDW
Luxury Class- At 2000cc: Excess Liability RM10,000 or RM5,000 per accident with CDW
Luxury Class- Above 2000cc: Excess Liability RM20,000 or RM10,000 per accident with CDW
CDW Fee: Rm 13% per day rental
CDW will only be effective subject to availability of a police report within 24 hours from the time of accident.
Acceptance of CDW does not cover the Reduced Excess Amount indicated above which shall be the responsibility of Hirer.
CDW coverage does not cover missing items or accessories or damages to the under carriage or roof, caused by negligent driving as stipulated in the terms and conditions of our rental agreement.

6) Collection and Delivery
A one way fee may be imposed and will be calculated according to distance, accessibility of the destination and time of day.
Vehicle pick ups/drop offs after hours and collection/delivery on Sundays or Public Holidays will incur a fee of RM100.00.
7) Submission of Hirer's Particulars to Authority
Hirers give permission to KLezCar/Owner to submit their personal and company particulars to the appropriate Authority if found suspect of conducting illegal trade and/or breach/violate the Government rules & regulations.
8) Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that the hirer purchases a personal travel insurance policy prior to the commencement of their holiday. KlezCar shall not be responsible for any loss or damage as a result of trip cancellation, loss of personal baggage, personal accident, injury or illness.
9) Accident and Emergency Service
In case of accidents involving the vehicle, the Hirer shall:
i) obtain the names, identity card numbers, addresses and driving license numbers of the parties involved and of the witnesses.
ii) notify KLezCar/Owner immediately, completing forthwith KLezCar/Owner's Accident Report Form and complying with all requests from KLezCar/Owner to provide assistance in any litigation or investigation relating to such damage or accident.
iii) notify the police or other proper authority within twenty-four (24) hours from the time of occurrence of the accident and supply such information, drawings and assistance in connection with the accidents as the police may require.
iv) In any emergency situation, such as breakdown, KLezCar has its own appointed towing company. The Hirer may contact KLezCar's respective branch number or our Hotline number at 1300 88 4040 (24 hours including public holidays)for further advice.
10) Petrol, Parking, Toll and Traffic Fines
Petrol, parking, toll fees, traffic fines and miscellaneous charges are the responsibilities of the hirer. An additional RM50.00 administration fee will be charged to the hirer on top of any traffic fine for any violation arising from the hirer's use of the vehicle.
11) Reposition of Service
Should the hirer wish to pick up or drop off a vehicle outside Kuala Lumpur or Klang Valley or any branch of KLezCar, a repositioning service is available for rentals of 3 days or longer at an additional cost. A guide to one-way rates is a minimun of RM25 and maximum RM300.
12) Methods of Payment
Methods of payment accepted are credit cards (MasterCard/Visa) with a 3% surcharge, telegraphic transfer, cash deposit, cash on delivery, e-wallet and online banking. Whatever the method of payment, funds must have cleared in our account by the payment deadline.
For credit card payments made online, we reserve the right to require a Letter of Authorization to verify the legitimate use of the card.
13) Rental Alternatives / Cancellation
KLezCar reserves the right to cancel any rental prior to commencement for any reason whatsoever. The company may, if it so chooses, recommend an alternative vehicle to hirer, preferably of the same category. Should the hirer decide not to accept the alternative, all monies paid by hirer will be refunded in full without further obligation or liability on the part of The Company.
14) Restriction Area & Road
All KLezCar vehicles are not allowed to be driven in Singapore and Thailand. KLezCar vehicles are not for use off-roads, on unsealed or unmade roads or surfaces.
15) Standard Rental Qualification
KLezCar reserves the right to refuse any rental, at their discretion, or should the Hirer not meet the standard terms and conditions of rental.
16) Vehicle Make and Model
Vehicle makes and models are correct at the time of printing. Bookings will be confirmed by car group and make/model. All vehicles will be less than 48 months old.
17) Extension of Rental / Excess Hours
Should the Hirer intend to extend the rental beyond the original confirmed date, the Hirer must inform KLezCar Office so as to extend the insurance coverage.
Rental rates are calculated on a 24 hour basis and should a rental exceed the agreed duration, for each completed hour, an extra charge of 1/5 of the daily rental rate will apply per additional hour.
18) Deposit and Payment
A security deposit is required upon vehicle collection and the amount will vary depending on the car selection. Klezcar's respective branches will notify the customer of the amount needed after the booking has successfully been made. The rental must be paid in full prior to commencement. Failure to comply with this may result in an automatic cancellation of your reservation.
19) Rental Rates
Prices are subject to change without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as increase in airfares, other transport costs, government tax, etc.
Refuelling Service: As well as the petrol costs, a refuelling service charge of RM 10.00 will be levied if the vehicle is returned with less petrol than when it was rented out.
20) Rental Cancellation
KLezCar Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd (herewith known as KLezCar), reserves the right to cancel any rental prior to commencement for any reason whatsoever. KLezCar may, if it so chooses, recommend an alternative vehicle to you, preferably of the same category. Should you decide not to accept the alternative, all monies paid by you will be refunded in full without further obligation or liability on the part of KLezCar.
In the event of any cancellation, the following fees will be applicable:
21 or more days prior to commencement 30% of total cost penalty
14 - 20 days prior to commencement 50% of total cost penalty
13 - 7 days prior to commencement 75% of total cost penalty
Less than 7 days prior to commencement 100% penalty
Currency exchange fluctuations, bank charges, etc. will be deducted from any refund made, and a 3% credit card processing fee will be deducted for any refund made to the client's credit card.
21) Administrative / Amendments Fee
An administrative fee of RM 200 (or equivalent) will be charged for any amendment after documents are processed, and RM 100 after reservation has been acted upon.
Customers are prohibited from bringing pets, durian, drinking alcohol and doing indecent things while using KLEZCAR vehicle.

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:

To add or remove extras to/from a confirmed booking: 10.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
